My equipment and keyboard are all pretty new. Its use is a specific request from my client. In order to use a tilde on a Mac computer, hold down 'Option n' to place a tilde over the lette. You can also use Alt shortcuts for example, to type, or, hold Alt and. But this isn't something I normally use - the American English language doesnt use that symbol. To type accented letters, type the letter (for example, ), then press 1 to add the tonos or 2 to add the dialytika. Release the Option key and press n again to create ñ or Shift + N to create uppercase Ñ. When you do this, a tilde () would appear.

Ive got a pretty good handle on Adobe normally, and can navigate the controls pretty well. To create a lowercase ñ, press Ctrl + Shift + Tilde () and then type n. Simply, place the cursor in the place where you want to insert the symbol and press Alt + 0126. Alt code decimal shortcuts if you have a longer keyboard with separate number pad then this is the most easy way.

I have no char map within pro that I can see, so thats why I was asking how to do it from premiere on a windows pc. You can use one of the below methods to insert tilde symbol in Windows computers. Using English keybindings (System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Input Sources) and a Spanish keyboard it's still alt n. I have tried the keystroke combinations mentioned above for Mac, and indeed they do work in my Illustrator, but I cannot find out how to put the symbol in my last line of text in my short video. Using a Spanish keyboard and Spanish keybindings the tilde is alt. No I know that the option and alt keys are the same, but Premiere Pro does not have the same controls as Illustrator.
